Mulugeta Seraw was beaten to death in Portland by skinhead thugs. The leader of the organization that radicalized Seraw's murderers had no problem with the killing, nor was he particularly upset that his followers were going to serve lengthy prison times for their crimes.
The leader of the organization was much more upset when he realized that his crimes also accrued civil liability. The ensuing lawsuit bankrupted him - and led to donations to his organization being garnished. 50% of all donations to the terror group wound up going to pay off the judgement.
