Like so many other members of our armed forces, he met his end in a desert - but one of our own deserts, at the hand not of foreign soldiers but of American traitors.
On July 3rd, 1998, America's enemies lured him into the desert. Shortly after midnight, the traitors struck - murdering Airman Shersty and his friend, Lin Newborn.
