Stacie was sixteen years old when she was attacked by a white supremacist who was enraged by the fact that she had a black boyfriend. He attempted to rape her, but she repeatedly fought him off and he wound up murdering her. The killer then lay in wait for her younger sister to come home; when she did, he raped her and slit her throat.
Stacie's little sister lived. Her killer was executed in 2010.
