Cynthia had been groomed online by the leader of a small KKK sect called the "Sons of Dixie Knights of the Ku Klux Klan". Childlike and insensitive to pain, she had difficulty understanding that others would have evil intentions.
In November, she went to Louisiana to be initiated into the sect. They took her to a deserted campsite in the swamp for a lengthy series of initiation rituals. On the 9th, she wanted to go home - but the sect leader didn't approve, so he murdered her.
