Stanislav Markelov (pictured) and Anastasiya Baburova were murdered by members of a far-right group called Russky Obraz, in retaliation for him working to prosecute neo-Nazi terrorists.
The primary killer was sentenced to life in prison. The killer's girlfriend at the time of the murders got 18 years in prison for her role.
