Raymond Buys was sent to a training camp run by an outfit called "Echo Wild Game Rangers", which promised to 'cure' effeminate boys. One of his parents noticed the AWB flag in the owner's office, but didn't take it seriously. The other didn't know what it was.
In March, he was taken to a hospital - malnourished, dehydrated, semi-conscious and convulsing. His body was covered with the marks from the torture the camp inflicted on him.
He took four weeks to die.
The owner of the camp was convicted of Raymond's murder, and of the murder of one of the other boys who had previously died at the camp.
