Clément was killed by members of the Troisième Voie (Third Way) fascist gang. The killing led to the conviction of individual perpetrators and the banning of Troisième Voie and its affiliates 'Jeunesses Nationalistes Révolutionnnaires' and 'Envie de Rêver'.
