Vladislav was hanging out drinking with 'friends' to celebrate Victory Day - the defeat of the Third Reich - when the 'friends' learned that he was gay. According to one of these sorry excuses for friends, his 'patriotic feelings' were hurt by this... so the group beat, tortured, raped, and murdered Vladislav. Their 'patriotic feelings' were, apparently, not not at all offended by the fact that one of the murderers was a literal Nazi.
