Takeaway operator Tipu Sultan was assassinated in a planned murder by a supporter of Tommy Robinson's so-called "English Defense League". The killer had enlisted a younger and more naïve thug to serve as the getaway driver under the pretense that he merely intended to rob Mr. Sultan's shop.
The underlying motive for the murder is still, to the best of our knowledge, undisclosed.
